The inserts could be factory or not hard to tell if they are factory I would actually guess 2005. Knowing what the riser looks like and what it is made from will help more. Your post on the Leatherwall will turn up more than here, but I can tell you that the first number in the serial number tells you the year (sort of). Any HELP would be appreciated in finding out more about this bow. The bow itself is really beefy compared to todays recurves.
It has a Stabilizer Bushing and it has another threaded bushing on the back side of the Shelf, I guess for maybey a quiver. It does not have any markings of Martin Archery at all, so I wonder if it is before the Merger. I know that Martin Archery purchased Damon Howatt back in the early 70's. I have been doing some research myself but just not finding much. The markings on the bow say this- 55# 28' HH 5388 AMO 62. My Father bought me a Damon Howatt (HUNTER). The serial numbers coincide with it being a vintage bow prior to 1960. 1966 Bear Kodiak Special 69' 32# Righthand Serial # 6F23. Find the maker of the compound bow and email the picture or serial number to the company, asking for a confirmation on the bow's year of production. If you have a serial number with no date, write down the number or take a picture of the stamp.
